FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Salvatore’s/Donuts Delite Celebrates With Holy Childhood

July 6, 2020, Rochester, NY – Salvatore’s Pizzeria is celebrating their 42nd anniversary throughout July. The Donuts Delite location will kick off the celebration by helping another local charity. Starting Tuesday July 7, Donuts Delite will be serving a limited edition Bumbleberry Pie Donut. All proceeds from this donut will be donated to Holy Childhood. The goal is to raise awareness for Special Touch Bakery and their amazing relationship with Holy Childhood.

All proceeds from this venture will help support Holy Childhood which serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the mission of Purpose for All, a dedicated effort of creating employment opportunities for people of all abilities.

“You have to applaud them for their creativity – they know how to build awareness and make an impact,” says Joe Perdicho, Director of Operations at Special Touch Bakery. “When asked about a collaboration, they didn’t hesitate. They wanted to show support for our mission and that of Holy Childhood, which is where it all started.”

“We are looking forward to teaming up with Special Touch Bakery and Holy Childhood, by infusing their pie filling with our fresh yeast raised donuts,” said Nick Semeraro, Owner/Operator of Salvatore’s at Donuts Delite. “We are proud to give back to the community.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to work so closely with the Rochester landmark and institution that is Donuts Delite; these are incredible partners who care about our community,” says Donna Dedee, CEO of Holy Childhood and Special Touch Bakery. “While our bakery and agency have provided opportunities for people of all abilities for more than 30 years, this partnership with Donuts Delite shows the unique ways local businesses can partner together to better our community. And while the proceeds are greatly appreciated, their commitment to our mission, and willingness to go above and beyond for the greater good deserves recognition.”

The limited-edition Bumbleberry Pie Donut will be filled with the same pie filling and topped with the same crumb topping that is used in Special Touch Bakery’s Bumbleberry Pie. Donuts will be available for purchase at Donuts Delite, located at 1700 Culver Road in Irondequoit, NY starting on Tuesday July 7, and will be available for the entire week.

“This year marks Salvatore’s 42nd anniversary of business, and what a better way to celebrate than to help yet another local charity,” said SoccerSam, CEO/Founder of Salvatore’s Pizza. “Tuesday-Sunday, ALL proceeds of this Bumbleberry Donut will be donated to Holy Childhood.”
